New Delhi: In a significant development for government job aspirants, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has announced the cancellation of three major recruitment drives. The cancellations have been attributed to administrative reasons. Candidates can visit SSC’s official website, ssc.gov.in, to view the details of the cancelled vacancies.
SSC regularly conducts various exams to fill government positions through competitive recruitment processes. However, this year brings disappointing news for the many candidates preparing for SSC Recruitment 2024, as the commission has decided to cancel certain positions under the Selection Post Recruitment Phase 10 and 12. These positions were originally intended for the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, specifically for Upper Divisional Clerk/Sub Officer Cadre roles.
The notice on SSC’s website also mentions the cancellation of three Field Officer positions (Code NR13524) in the Directorate of Health Services, as well as two Nursing Officer positions (Code NR18722) under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare from the Selection Post 2022 (Phase 10). These cancellations, as stated, are due to administrative reasons.
SSC Vacancy 2024: Candidates Disheartened
The SSC recruitment exams, which took place on June 20, 21, 25, and 26, saw a total of 3,55,541 applicants from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Among them, 1,64,705 were 10th pass, 90,200 were 12th pass, and 1,00,636 were graduates. The cancellation has understandably caused disappointment among these candidates. Despite this setback, 12th pass candidates can still apply for the 2,006 available posts in the SSC Stenographer Grade C and D recruitment.
